COMPLETE RESULTS

October 25
With the partnership of B.A.A. and adidas as the meet’s presenting sponsors for the second year, on an unseasonably warm fall day (75 degrees), the men’s race came down to a 200-meter sprint between Sammy Nyamongo and Francis Kirwa, both Kenyans attending Life University. Kirwa held on for the victory in 23:13, and Nyamongo finished second, posting an identical time to Kirwa (23:13). Chan Pons was third in 23:19. In the team competition, Reebok Enclave was victorious with 36 points. Life University, despite Kirwa and Nyamongo’s first and second place finishes, settled for second with 42 points. In the women’s race, Lesley Lehane, of the Boston Athletic Association, cruised to a first place finish in 16:37. Miesha Marzell took second in 16:44 and Irishwoman Rosemary Ryan, formerly of Boston University and representing the B.A.A, was third (16:47). Lead by Lehane and Ryan, the B.A.A. easily won the women’s team competition with 33 points. ASICS Club East was second with 55 points. The B.A.A. and adidas sponsored the meet for the second year.
